With it’s 'blue' beach, dramatic cliffs, pretty colour-washed cottages and the striking blue lagoon - once a slate quarry, Abereiddy is a sight that you must see. This beach-side community, previously the home of quarrymen, now attracts visitors seeking a retreat from the hassles of modern-day life.
Abereiddy Beach is made of dark sand which comes from the heavily pounded slate of this area. Just around the headland from the village you will find the Blue Lagoon which is a flooded quarry popular for watersports such as coasteering, canoeing and paddle boarding. Abereiddy is very popular cottage holiday destination in Pembrokeshire due to its excellent beach and location on the rugged north west Pembrokeshire coast.
