About Rose Villa

Rose Villa is an enchanting detached cottage only a few minutes walk up the valley from the seaside village of Amroth, with its long stretch of sandy beach, local pubs serving good food, and small shops. It has been beautifully renovated to a high standard yet still retains its original charm. Comfortably furnished with a modern, fitted kitchen and through dining room, the cosy lounge leads to a sunny conservatory, a perfect place to relax. There are French doors to the paved patio and lawned garden - an ideal sheltered spot to enjoy an alfresco meal while you soak up the breathtaking views over Carmarthen Bay. Two of the pretty bedrooms above benefit from the same wonderful sea views, so you can enjoy leisurely lie ins watching the sun sparkle on the water.

From Amroth village, walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path along the beach and through the tunnels to the picturesque harbour village of Saundersfoot, with its beautiful sandy beach and excellent facilities and water sports, stopping off en-route for a well earned drink at the Wiseman's Bridge Inn, set right on the beach. No holiday would be complete without a visit to the National Trust Lands of Colby Woods and gardens; the woodland footpath below the cottage leads directly to it.

A wonderful holiday home where you can truly relax.

Care needed with children and elderly as there are unfenced drops.

No baby equipment provided, welcome to bring your own.

Approached from an A-road along 2 miles of narrow lanes, quite steep as you approach the cottage itself. Rose Villa is accessed by an open gateway into a parking area with space for 3 cars on driveway, the access is via narrow sloping driveway. Further parking on hard standing opposite. The lane into the village is quite steep. There are 3 low, broad steps, and a ramp from the parking area down to the main door into the kitchen, which is accessed by 1 x low step. At the front of the property are double patio doors accessed by 1 step, and conservatory doors, which have 2 steps. The garden includes a large, flat patio leading to a flat lawn; on either side of this area the garden is sloping and terraced. There is a steep drop on the right hand side down to the road. There are steps down, but the gate to these is kept locked for safety reasons. The garden extends behind the house, but this area is out of bounds to visitors due to the vertical drop down to the cottage itself. The utility room on the ground floor stores the washing machine and a sink. The kitchen has extensive worktops, free standing fridge/freezer, dishwasher and low-level oven. Open plan, leading to dining room. Well-lit lounge, with a step over patio doors leading out to the conservatory. There are no adaptations for wheelchair users, other than the outside ramp. There is x 1 external light controlled by an inside switch and 2 sets of bright outside lights illuminating the parking area and path to the main door, which are automatically activated by movement/cars entering etc. There is no landline. Mobile reception is variable depending on the network; some rooms in the cottage have better reception than others. Guide dogs are welcome. There is a local bus service from the village, 500m down the hill.

Very cosy, well equipped cottage with beautiful sea views. We've been to Pembrokeshire many times and it never disappoints. There is good food to be had at Amroth Arms, but also a nice running route from Wisemans Bridge around the coast to Saundersfoot. Thanks for having us.

Kay and Steve

A lovely property with great views. We really enjoyed our short break in Rose Villa. A great place with lots of lovely walks from the doorstep. We enjoyed Colby Woods and walking to Saundersfoot with our dog. Good meals in the old chemist and the captains table in Saundersfoot. Hopefully we will return next year. Thank you for the milk and welsh cakes that were left for us.

Mr & Mrs Thomas

We have had a lovely short break, really enjoyed the house and our time here – especially as Wales won the Grand Slam! (we are welsh). Fantastic views, walks and places to visit in the area. Amroth Arms, Colby Gardens and Narberth – good visits. Hope to stay here again.

Have had a lovely 4 night break, what a fantastic cottage, lovely views and to see the sea everyday is a bonus. Very good food at New Inn, lovely friendly atmosphere, good price. Hopefully we'll be back.

Lovely weather and a wonderful weekend break. We enjoyed visiting Laugharne; lunch at Dylan Thomas' boathouse on the terrace was good, and also walked on Pendine Sands, colby gardens to Saundersfoot, from Bosherston to Stackpole Quay (another good lunch) and along all the various beaches in Tenby. The Sun shone from sunrise to sunset each day so the views were really gorgeous.

We have ha a wonderful stay at Rose Villa, all rooms were spotless and the views are to die for. The surrounding areas are all worth a visit including Saundersfoot, Tenby, Narberth and of course Amroth. The dog (noo noo) loed the long beach. The rooms at Rose Villa were warm and airy and whatever we seem to want was all available at The Villa. We will certainly be returning in the near future. Thank you so much (its been heaven)the milk and shortbread on arrival was a lovely warm greeting.

We are honoured to be the first guests in this well appointed cottage with wonderful views over the bay and beyond. Weather mixed (this is Wales !!) but managed 60 miles walking on the coast path with aid of excellent bus services to return. Saw Otters in the lily ponds at Bosherston. The New Inn was excellent
